Triad River Tours offers a minimalist approach to whitewater rafting through state of the art equipment and highly trained professional guides. Operating out of Bellingham, their favorite river to take families and beginners is the Upper Skagit in North Cascades National Park. This instructionally centered introduction to whitewater is designed for those who are new to whitewater, who have children they want to bring to the outdoors to develop their relationship with nature, and those who want a scenic rafting tour with the added excitement of pool drop class 3 whitewater towards the end of the trip. - Shuttle to and from the meeting point
- Professional whitewater safety and rescue instructional talk (30 minutes)
- All safety equipment such as Life Jackets, First Aid kits, rescue gear, rafts, etc. (wetsuits can be rented for $10)

Every trip leader at Triad is a certified Swiftwater Rescue Technician (SRT-1) as well as a medical first responder (WFR) or wilderness first aid provider (WFA). Our 4 tenured guides have a combined 38 years of professional commercial rafting experience, with each one being experienced in Class 5 whitewater. Every trip itinerary protocol is carefully planned, practiced, and voluntarily audited by a third party to ensure best possible practices.
